Process took more than 4 weeks, this job came from a recruiter, here it goes:
1. I got an interview for a "Senior" Application Architect same day I was submitted.
2. After the interview, the feedback came as they're very interested.
3. Then I received a call saying they want to bring me in for the Application Designer not the Senior Designer, and I said yes because it makes sense to start as a junior designer coming from Senior Developer.
4. I received another call negotiating salary, they started low balling and I accepted their lower limit.
5. They called again they changed their mind and they want to bring me for a second interview (only competency questions).
6. They sent email at around 4 pm the day before the interview, they said they want to do another full technical interview in addition to the HR questions.
7. The interview went well, in the hands on test I was given help in a not so straight forward problem, but everything else went very well as I received positive feedback during the interview.
After huge efforts and time, they said I failed everything including the HR questions. That does not really make sense given they have provided a very positive feedback to me directly and to the recruiter and they even started negotiating salary at one point.
Something definitely went wrong, because they changed things very fast and they don't give enough time to prepare.
