The hiring process started off quickly. I got a call about a week after applying and came in person the next day for an interview. I met with the hiring manager and the entire team and got a brief tour of the office. I felt it went extremely well, my responses demonstrated that I was well-qualified for the role, and I was definitely expecting further communication. I emailed a thank you to the hiring manager the next day. Not only did he not respond to my thank you, but I never received any further communication whatsoever. It was disappointing to say the least. Thankfully, I accepted an offer with a neighboring school district with a much better hiring experience. To me, the candidate experience is a reflection of the employee experience.
