I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ASDA (Coatbridge, Scotland) in Oct 2015
Interview
I applied online and recieved a phone call for and interview a week later.
The interview process started with being partnered up and having to find out your partners name, why they want to work for asda and an interesting fact about them. This was basically just the usual icebreaker you will get anywhere.
We then were put into 2 groups and given a handful of balloons and a roll of celotape and told to make a free standing tower of balloons and make an estimate of the height.
The next part of the interview included going onto the shop floor, We had a go at "rumbling" basically breaking down empty cardboard boxes and binning them and pulling stock to the front of shelves, Whilst down there we were put into small groups and told to find 2 random things such as.. find milk and jam, We then had to find these write down the aisle number and find a rollback on one and a multisave on the other.
After this part was done we were then taken back up stairs and given a one to one interview.

Interview
I turned up to the Asda magic group assessment. Everyone was very friendly. I was the only one who turned up in a suit, I was told that made a great impression at a later date.
We first played people bingo, having to interact with everyone. The awesome were watching our confidence and the way we interacted with one another, eye contact is key.
Then we were split into 2 groups and had to build a house out of straws and then sell it. The whole process is relaxed and nothing to worry about. Be confident interact with others and get involved and you will be fine!!
