The process started out really well. The recruiter was sweet and the initial phone screen was brief and I quickly moved on to the next round which was with the Hiring Manager. He had a poker face throughout the interview, not very personable. The questions were mostly along the lines of "would you prefer this or that" and couple of SQL questions at the end. I moved to the next step which was a 24 hr take home assessment and I thought I did quite well and spent a lot of time working on it only to get no response or feedback. When I asked for an update, I was told they already filled the role, which was unfair to me. It felt like they were getting ideas and strategies from some candidates through the take home assessment without the intention of moving them forward to next steps.
