Does Spark New Zealand offer relocation assistance?

Pros

Staff benefits package is the very comprehensive - health and life insurance, phone concession, corporate mobile

Cons

Spark has changed for the worse since I first joined. The place is now really disorganized and lost its sense of identity. A huge number of restructures including the agile initiative makes it a difficult place to work. Inadequate or non existent training. There is no career progression. People leaders were unable to articulate what skills or knowledge you needed to develop to gain role promotion. No pay rises and lack of transparency around remuneration. You had to have an offer on the table to leave before they would consider a salary increase. Innovation and curiosity is stifled.

Advice to Management

Looking after your people it is not just about a good benefits package. Appointment the real people leader. They should be there to enable and enhance. Instead its lip service and preventing people express themselves. Be straight up about opportunities and training. Live the company values don't just preach them.

Does Spark New Zealand offer malpractice insurance?

Pros

- Strong staff benefits e.g. health/life insurance, account credit

Cons

- The further you go up the management chain, the more delusional and disconnected from the reality of frontline staff and the true needs of the customer the people get - Constant restructures - Painstakingly obvious that profit margins are far more important than employee job satisfaction - Job instability - they're very fond of putting people on extended secondments instead of offering them permanent contracts for roles, which often means you're doing more work (and more important work) for far less money than you really should be getting - Extremely toxic and suffocating sales culture - Lack of development opportunities unless you are working in Auckland - Complete lack of transparency from all levels of management, staff will often learn important things about changes/releases/major company issues at the very last minute and the whole truth is rarely told - Salaries for frontline were absolutely abysmal (we're talking minimum wage) prior to a review being launched last year - A company that truly does not live up to the values it claims to have
