CEO takes time to personally welcome all new employees and ensure they are settling well into their role. The Head of Talent and HR Team help you with your on-boarding and training and development... and colleagues are very helpful and friendly. Teamwork is really practiced at FirstPort and this makes FirstPort so unique as many companies only give lip service to this. The company also ensures all employees subscribe to the 4 pillars.
Because the company is very large, it is not very easy to deal with local suppliers because very tight controls must be in place to prevent fraud and improper practices. The downside of this is the... company is not well integrated into the community.
Advice to Management
Pension Plan for employees should be more flexible so a person can continue paying to their existing pension provider.
I have been working at Rendall and Rittner part-time for more than 5 years
As someone who has worked with many other companies, and run my own business, I can honestly say that I have never worked for a company that shows so much empathy and interest in the welfare of it's... staff. The Rendall and Rittner work ethic and staff performance is key to it's success, and career progression is also very much at the heart of what is encouraged. This has been especially evident with communication during the challenges faced since lockdown. I am proud to work for Rendall and Rittner.
None that I am aware of, challenges may come in time with so many working from home.
