Former Employee - Senior Enrollment Advisor

I worked at Apollo Education Group full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Ability to be part of changing people's future for the better. Working on a team that valued my contribution

Cons

There was inconsistency in the metrics the 6 years I worked there. At first dedicated employees who worked hard and made personal connections with their students and helped them succeed to attain... their degrees were awarded with merit raises, leadership summit (performance) trips/conferences, titles and promotions. After the owner's son took the reins... everything fell apart. Now the company wasn't about helping adult students complete educational goals, it was about paying the minimum for inexperienced employees who simply pushed ill prepared students into completing a course and attain a Federal Student loan then offer no ongoing support.

Advice to Management

Your ethics are in check. You've lost some passionate, dedicated employees at ALL levels that made a real difference in favor of cutting cost. Your bottom line suffered and your reputation will too... unless you reconsider QUALITY over QUANTITY.

Current Employee - Branch Manager

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time for less than a year

Pros

The culture here is phenomenal. The message is all about how the people make the difference and the company is very focused on developing employees. The routines set in place to reinforce the... behaviors are phenomenal. Resources available to leaders for improving coaching style are endless! They have even taken external leadership theories and incorporated those into the resources and training available. Highly engaged and talented people work here, making it a great place to network and grow.

Cons

Some systems are a bit antiquated, but to be honest I’d prefer that over flashy stuff that glitches out all the time. Time off is not very competitive, and it doesn’t increase with positions that... have more responsibility, it only increases with years worked at the company. No fully comprehensive health plan, but they do offer a company funded HSA with one of the plans.
