What do all of you wear to work in office usually? Heading into msft Redmond for the first time next week to meet my team and leadership and idk what to wear as a dude. Dress shirt and slacks, polo and jeans, t shirt, or bro tank and chubbies? Work in product strategy

Dress for the job you want, not for the job you have. Make a good first impression. You want to exude professionalism. Slacks. Dress shirts or collared shirts. No tennis shoes.
“Dress for the job you want” Coming into product strategy at a tech company in 2022, casual IS standard dress for the job they want. If they’re looking to move into non-sales management, same look, too. 🤷🏻♂️
I used to wear my Enron Summer Internship shirt to interviews as a college student
just dress to feel comfortable and confident. I've worked at both Amzn and MS, and NO ONE CARES. I've literally seen guys walk barefoot into bathrooms (yuck)
I generally wear dark jeans, polo or button down, and brown leather sneakers. Depending on agenda I’ll wear company tshirt.
Makes sense I appreciate it!
I wear jeans and a polo/button up shirt.
I worked for Microsoft for over 4 years. Went to several off-sites and events at HQ. Everyone was super relaxed. I went around May and people were literally wearing bermuda shorts and even sandals. I saw someone arrive in full bike sports gear. It was really chill. Jeans, a nice clean shirt, comfy shoes. It’s a great campus!
Honestly, everyone wears tshirts. Just wear something you are comfortable in. Mayne not a suite and tie, but something you feel at ease. I could never wear short and sandals, but I wore a cute t-shirt, nice jeans and flats, not high heels but also not snickers. A friend on mine, wore heels because she liked them. Really, something you feel comfortable in. Relax.
Agree with the others! Jeans and your shirt of choice
V neck shirt, joggers and Jordans 😂 that's my work attire
Jeans and tshirts. Very casual environment.
Unrelated but also heading to Redmond tomorrow for the first time!
To get an idea, I would check or take a look at companies previous tech talks/events to see what our leadership were wearing during that time. I personally feel they would prefer polo shirt with jeans. Marketing/sales professionals would wear suit while meeting client but this is not your case. If you are interviewing at Amazon you will be informed no need to wear formal suit etc. Things has changed so don’t stressed out. Get dressed the way you will feel comfortable! Good luck
It really depends on the company policy. There are companies that are strict when it comes to dress code. In our company, we are allowed to wear semi-formal or casual attire.
Smart Casual and comfy casual ones. But if only I can wear jeans at work, I will. I commute everyday and with all the pollution around the city. it's making me hard to wear these casuals.
Business casual is probably the way to go. However, check on official Microsoft Instagram account, you will see that they wear cargo pants and T-shirts. I kid you not 😂
Why don't you ask the manager/team/whomever you will meet with what the standard is?
